After numerous hostile encounters with the Kett, the Andromeda Initiative appear natural allies for the Angaran Resistance, due to their common enemy. An innate distrust of those alien to oneself however still exists on both sides. Many soldiers from the Resistance were skeptical of the newcomers, fearing this was nothing more than another invasion, just with slightly different tactics than the Kett. Discontent spread throughout the ranks of the Resistance, with many threatening to desert and join the Roekaar if members of APEX strike teams were allowed anywhere near Angara outposts.
Recognising that trust needs to be earned, leaders of both sides determined a joint mission against the Kett was in order. Soldiers from both sides were asked to nominate a top infiltration expert from their ranks, for a stealth mission to travel to Voeld, sneak inside a Kett tower and retrieve the vital strategic intelligence hidden inside.
