Despite Commander Shepard's successful frustration of Cerberus' attack on a base in Ontarom, that same base now finds itself overrun by Geth, which have seized and established a new stronghold focused on high-specs-high-tech military innovation. The Geth have been developing unique technology there by combining their own tech with the Alliance's quantum communication technology, undoubtedly amassing something dangerous. There just wasn't anyone taking it seriously.

"Why bother?" said an Alliance executive dismissively, when an appeal was made to retake the Ontarom base. "That planet's as good as dead anyway." This was an unfortunate truth. A decaying moon orbit made Ontarom known for its intense tidal disruptions which created powerful sand and electrical storms. The storms would worsen overtime before the planet meets its eventual demise by crashing into one of its own moons.

Sources say that the planet's unstable atmosphere have actually helped the Geth with their inventions. Somehow, the Geth discovered a way to channel and store the power created from these storms, while being completely unaffected. With this vast supply of energy available, the Geth were the only ones who found use of and could survive Ontarom's turbulence. No organic in their right mind would dare to set foot in there.

...Until now.

At the Afterlife bar on Omega, two friends are meeting up: a Quarian and a Turian.

The Quarian's name is Mysoom Bostret. He is a tech expert, known to be "shy", but more peculiarly, for "behaving strangely" in crowds. He spends most of his time researching any Geth parts he comes across - mostly captured Geth communications and memory cores - hacking and studying them to try and create something to benefit the Flotilla to win back their trust. Before all this began, Mysoom was responsible for maintaining the systems needed for food stores and temperature regulation on the Flotilla. He was also good friends with Veetor'Nara, and the two were often caught fiddling with abandoned Geth parts while on the job. It was only a matter of time before disaster struck. One day, while fooling around with Veetor, Mysoom accidentally activated some Geth parts and caused havoc in the food and temperature systems.

He was 'lucky' in the sense that he only caused minimal damage, but it still led to him being exiled afterwards by the Admiralty Board. Devastated, and trying to return home, Mysoom eventually found himself investigating Geth parts while trading on Omega, where he met his new Turian friend who was also an expert in technology and hacking.

The Turian's name is Bitten Shiften who, since young, was infatuated with technology before eventually being pulled into customary military service. Bitten actually wanted to head a new army branch dedicated to disabling and repurposing enemy weapons and technology. His proposal was denied, and after continuing to conduct his own independent research against orders from his superiors, was dishonourably discharged from the Turian military. Bitten fled to a place where he would be able to continue his research without the bureaucratic red tape: Omega.
One day, he ended up running into a human, Butler, who was connected to another Turian who was leading a group dedicated to cleaning up the gangs on Omega. Wanting to use his skills to improve the galaxy, Bitten agreed to join the group, lending his technological expertise. During his research into sabotaging and overloading enemy weapon systems, Bitten met one unusual tech-savvy Quarian, Mysoom Bostret, and with his help, discovered how to use microbots to infiltrate and interact with pivotal organic systems. Before deciding to weaponize this technology, Bitten decided to create a prototype life support system with these microbots, which can keep the user alive under normally fatal conditions. Before he could test the system, a group of gangs broke into their hideout while their leader was away. Seeing his allies getting gunned down without warning, the only thing Bitten could do was activate his prototype after ingesting a deadly amount of red sand they had previously confiscated from the Blue Suns a week ago. When Bitten woke up, 3 days had passed and he was in complete darkness. He was able to dig his way up, finding himself in an unmarked grave next to nine of his comrades. He went back to their base to find it completely deserted. Bitten found out all the gangs got into a massive firefight and were all killed, while his leader made it off world. Having lost everyone he had known on Omega, he decided it was time to move on after buying a drink for all of his lost comrades in Afterlife. It was there where he shouldered up next to Mysoom at the bar who looked particulary anxious...

Mysoom revealed to Bitten that he had caught bits of Geth communication that revealed some amazing technology they built with microbots in Ontarom. The only problem was how to secure it. Not only would it be difficult enough to navigate the base with the storm, there was also the inherent risk in setting foot on a Geth-controlled facility. It was likely going to be a one-way trip. Alerted Geth would be able to use the satellites on Ontarom to call for reinforcements to protect their stronghold. Worst case, this would be the trigger point for the Geth to begin testing their newfound weapon on organics.

Mysoom and Bitten sat at Afterlife, deep in thought, weighing the consequences.
A two-man job wouldn't be enough.

As if on cue, two familiar figures entered the bar. In walked Bin'Gbang and H3$HT0K, and the former immediately noticed Mysoom. Well-connected as usual, Bin'Gbang had an inkling that the Quarian would have some new tech ideas to discuss. He and H3$HT0K decided to join their conversation.

In-depth discussions began, covering infiltration tactics, weapon modifications, and how best to navigate the storm. Mysoom and Bitten shared their combined knowledge of the microbots. Bin'Gbang had old contacts dig up files and maps of the Ontarom base. A new hacker group was born over booze, intelligence, and camaraderie...

“Hargh!”
Mysoom, Bitten, and Bin’Gbang jumped at the sudden interruption.
They turned over to look at the source, who was none other than H3$HT0K.
H3$HT0K finished his drink, and smashed his glass down onto the table.
“Filthy Geth!” he spat. “Kill them!!”
