While the Normandy crew went on shore leave, Garrus Vakarian decided to surprise Tali with some gifts: a new shotgun and some special dextro-amino chocolate (which Dr. Chakwas recommended). Along the way, Garrus remembered that he needed to get some rare parts to help with calibrating the Normandy's weapons and targeting systems. To find the parts, Garrus had to travel to a colony on the planet Lorek in Fathar system, located next to Omega's system Sahrabarik, to find two specific Quarian traders that sold the parts.

The planet is known for its bad weather, especially for the colonies that he needed to go to, but this was where black markets thrived. Of course, our resident "Archangel" bad-boy was willing to take the risk.


Just as Garrus managed to find what he needed, the colony was suddenly attacked by Geth. An SOS signal was sent out, but it would take time for support to arrive; the only ones who could defend the colony were Garrus and the two Quarian traders. The traders quickly armed themselves in panic with whatever nearby weapons they could find, realising there and then that they had to rely on their Sabotage abilities. Garrus only brought a side arm with him, but he remembered that there was new fancy shotgun to put to good use.

Finally, the SOS signal was caught by a Vorcha mercenary,

Ganar Zyikzz, the son of a Vorcha-Clan-Boss; he was on his way to some "business opportunity" meeting with other clan members and Blood Pack affiliates on Lorek. Some would question why a random Vorcha would want to help out, but the truth of the matter is that Ganar was not interested in being altruistic. This was yet another "business opportunity" that the mercenary wanted to get his claws on. He was only offering his help if the survivors agreed to pay him - and a lucrative sum at that. The team caught Ganar's radio signal. Under high pressure from the Geth, Garrus and the two Quarians agreed to Ganar's conditions. It would take time for Ganar's ship to land on Lorek.

While waiting for him to arrive, the colony would have to hold off the Geth attack...
