When Commander Shepard was killed in a Collector attack that also resulted in the destruction of the SSV Normandy, Cerberus was able to recover Shepard's corpse with the help of Liara T'Soni. Now it is time to ship Shepard's remains in stasis pod to a secret Cerberus Facility where Lazarus Project, founded by Illusive Man, can begin. Unfortunately, Collectors learn of Cerberus plans through Shadow Broker, and assault the temporary hidden base where Shepard's corpse is currently located, so that they can claim the corpse for themselves. Miranda Lawson is Cerberus Officer in charge of Lazarus Project, and together with her new hired 'lieutenant', Jacob Taylor, she must secure the body of dead Commander Shepard, or the Collectors will end Lazarus Project before it begins.
