It had not been that long since the crew of Normandy was abducted by the Collectors. The Collectors took Dr Karin Chakwas, Kenneth Donnelly, Gabby Daniels, Kelly Chambers. They felt like they were in a dream. They thought their end had come. Until Shepard and his squad showed up just in time to rescue them from those pods. Finally, a glimmer of hope.

But their hope was short-lived and their problems were not over yet. Shepard told them that he could not escort them back to the Normandy. The 'suicide mission' had to take priority--getting the bomb to the central chamber required all hands on deck, and Shepard needed all his squad mates there to make the final push. Left with nothing but their omni-tools, remaining medigel, and the clothing on their backs, the four crewmembers equipped themselves with some weapons left lying around. All of them received basic military training, although this was hardly the best place to put it into practice.

Dr Chakwas, Kenneth, Gabby and Kelly collectively shared a long, deep breath, gathering the courage they needed to face this run. One thing for sure, it's going to be a nightmare to fight their way to the Normandy. But they only had one choice: to make it out of here alive. For Shepard and his squad to have a fighting chance of survival, they would need the Normandy's crew to get out of here in one piece.
