Originally tasked with safeguarding and transporting several credit caches from Illium to a back alley on Omega, two Eclipse initiates suddenly find themselves fighting for their lives.

They were the unlikeliest of friends, but bonded through hubris and iniquity upon meeting each other. One was a Salarian engineer who wanted to be part of the Eclipse for money and a good reproduction contract. The other was an Asari biotic, eager to get out of her house and make a name for herself as an Eclipse commando.

Their mission was to bring the cache to one of their vendors. This was to be their final easy-peasy mission after years of menial grunt work before fully joining the Eclipse proper. Midway through however, the squad—which included their initiation supervisor—were ambushed by a group of Collectors. And when their supervisor found himself crushed by a scion's deadly appendage (arm? canon? "Whatever the hell that tube is!" said one of the initiates), so too were their dreams of finally joining the infamous Eclipse gang.

But that didn't stop them from capitalising on the situation. With their supervisor gone, who was to stop them from taking these caches for themselves and disappearing off the grid?

Armed only with their new Gateway-branded equipment (including a fancy new sniper rifle), the initiates must survive long enough to pass this… 'revamped test' of their affinity for mercenary work.
